Description of the project and documents

The Zlín Region, which is among the less developed regions of the Czech Republic, is making an effort to raise the competitiveness and attractivenes of entrepreneurship through development of innovation activities. With respect to these facts, the Zlín Region submitted the proposal for project “Regional Innovation Strategy in the Zlín Region” (RIS). After successful evaluation of the proposal our region obtained grant from the EU budget.

The objective of the project is to develop the Regional Innovation Strategy in the Zlín Region and the Action Plan, which increases competition and improves the attraction of doing business in the Zlín region. This will also contribute to the enhancement of the learning process for people in the Zlín Region. Transfer of knowledge and and experience from foreign partners of the project in the field of innovation is the important tool to achieve this goal of the project. Realization of the project will improve conditions for interregional cooperation in the field of innovation within the European Research Area network. Pilot projects from the Action plan that support innovation will be initiated during this project.
